Kristin, I just thought I would ask you. How do you handle performing multiple transactions like at Copps? Are they good about it? I have yet to try it because I don't want to cause a backup in the line or anything. At that same time, a person cannot really shop at a quiet time because you don't know if the supply of sale items will be there. Just curious.

ReplyDeleteMy Copp's is pretty good about it. The managers and cashiers say there are quite a few couponers, so they know the drill, lol! I try to go in when it's less busy - Wednesday Double daze in the early afternoon or morning, Saturday very early or clser to dinner time. You are right, the later you go, the more risk there is that they are out of stock. But the good thing is that you can always get rain checks.
This week, I only had two transactions, so I brought my 11 year old with me and we took 2 carts - one for items on each list. (I make a separate list for each transaction, although they are all on one piece of paper. Each list has which coupons I need for that transaction indicated and I put each "set" of coupons in a separate pocket in a coupon holder.) I decided if it was really busy when we went to check out, we'd park one cart off to the side, check out the other and then come back in line and check out the second cart.
When i go by myself, I try to keep each transaction together in the cart, to make it easier to unload per transaction. I try to be extra friendly to the Copp's staff and I try to be extremely organized so I don't cause a huge delay. At times, when it's a little busier as I go to check out, I've actually gone to the manager at the desk and told her I have a lot of transactions and they open another lane if they can or the manager will just check me out. A little social niceties can go a long way!
